Marijke Vroomen Durning, RN is a registered nurse with many years of experience in a variety of clinical areas, from post-partum to palliative care and hospice. Marijke joined Sepsis Alliance in 2010 and is responsible for the site content and outreach with the public and organizations.
She has worked as a floor nurse and in supervisory and teaching capacities. No longer working clinically as a nurse, Marijke is now a successful health writer and content provider. She has assisted in writing and researching nursing and emergency response textbooks, and has written hundreds of articles for online and print outlets, such as the Oncology Nursing News, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Forbes.com, Costco Connection, Nursing 2013, HealthDay News, Parade, and MSN Health & Lifestyle.
When not working to educate the public on various health issues, you will probably find Marijke in her sewing room, where she designs and creates beautiful quilts almost non-stop.
