Spectrum Science CEO joins the Sepsis Alliance Board of Directors to help save lives from sepsis—the leading cause of death in U.S. hospitals.

Jonathan WilsonSan Diego, Calif — Sepsis Alliance, the nation’s first and leading sepsis organization, is pleased to announce that Jonathan Wilson, CEO of integrated marketing, communications and media agency Spectrum Science, has joined its Board of Directors. Wilson’s personal connection to sepsis and undeniable will to change the course of health and science through communication inspired him to join Sepsis Alliance’s Board in its mission to save lives and reduce suffering from sepsis, the body’s life-threatening response to an infection.

“For me sepsis is very personal,” said Wilson. “I’ve had both friends and family members impacted by this deadly illness, so I am proud to be a board member of Sepsis Alliance and a continued advocate for their cause to raise awareness and save lives.”

Wilson has played a leading role in Spectrum’s commitment to It’s About TIMETM, Sepsis Alliance’s award-winning campaign. This national campaign uses the TIME mnemonic to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of sepsis (Temperature, Infection, Mental decline, Extremely ill), and the urgent need to seek treatment when they are present. He brings experience as a trusted senior counselor to some of the world’s top pharmaceutical and biotechnology brands and expertise developing and amplifying public health conversations grounded in the science to reach stakeholders and influencers.

“We are thrilled to have Jonathan join our growing Board of Directors,” said Steve Maupin, Sepsis Alliance Board Chair. “Jonathan and his team at Spectrum have become an integral part in relaying the organization’s mission to increase awareness of sepsis and educate about the signs and symptoms.”
