Started December 15 when at a business Xmas party, all of a sudden could not stop shaking. Everyone wanted to call an ambulance but being a stubborn male went home. The next day my knee was in so much pain could not walk and we called ambulance.

Was quickly put through as my condition was getting worse. I was having heart failure. The next 10 days I was comatose. I learned later they called my family to come in as they did not think I would survive.

When I came out of it. I could not walk after many tests a doctors I had damage to heart, liver, spleen, knee etc. I was in the hospital for a month unable to walk, high does of antibiotics and many further actions by doctors. I was transferred to a rehab unit to get better and learn to walk. I left there on February 15, as they removed my PICC line and took me off antibiotics and still using a walker with a lot of pain.

I had some in-house services as I could not stand but was getting slowly better. In June had second infection, back in hospital for 10 days then back home with in house nursing, antibiotics for two months with ulcers on my left leg. For the next year I’ve had a pacemaker put in as heart took a lot of damage, Eye surgery, vascular surgery etc. it is now two years later I am still using a walker but in 2025 I go to doctor to see if I can have a knee replacement.

It has been a rough journey as depression, loss of function, memory etc has taken it’s toll.
Finding this forum I hope will get me through the mental issues.
