I suddenly got nauseous one evening about 11:00 pm after working late and eating fast food. I started vomiting. That went on through the night and I ended up dry heaving. I felt bad. 8:00 am called 911 for an ambulance because I didn’t think I could drive myself to the hospital.
I was breathing funny, which quickly became like panting. I had some abdominal pain also. Then I had intense chills. Thank God the hospital had special protocols in place for sepsis. They really worked on me and saved my life.
I knew a lot about the body and many ailments. But I didn’t know much about sepsis. Now I do. It’s a scary thing. I tell others of my experience to spread the word.
