This session explores the most severe forms of sepsis affecting pregnant and postpartum individuals in the U.S., examining their connection to emerging infectious threats. Current treatment guidelines will be applied to critical care scenarios, assessing the effectiveness of different management strategies. The session also focuses on proactive approaches to early detection and intervention, particularly during disease outbreaks, to improve patient outcomes and reduce complications.
