Sepsis Alliance Connect: Sepsis and Urinary Tract Infections
June 17 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Date: June 17, 2024
Time: 1 PM ET
Description:
A UTI is a very common infection in the urinary tract, which runs from the kidneys, through the ureters, the urinary bladder and out through the urethra. Most often, UTIs can be managed effectively when they are identified and treated quickly. An untreated UTI may spread to the kidney, causing more pain, illness, and sometimes sepsis. Urinary tract infections are one of the most common causes of sepsis among older adults. In this presentation, learn about the connection between UTIs and sepsis, including when you should be concerned about a UTI in yourself or a loved one.
