In most wedding ceremonies, spouses promise to support one another “in sickness and in health.” However earnest that promise, few imagine the realities of sepsis and the changes such a serious condition might bring to their relationship. In this discussion, meet two couples in which one spouse has survived sepsis while the other has provided care and support. Learn how they navigated the most harrowing phase of illness, as well as the enduring challenges that can come with life after sepsis. You’ll also hear how the experience of sepsis has impacted their lives and relationships even years after surviving septic shock.
